How to delete your account

localsell is a product of Maeko Tech Solutions LLP. You can delete your localsell account in any of these ways:

• In the localsell app: open Account → Delete my Account, choose a reason and confirm.
• On localsell.in: sign in, open Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm.
• By email: write to contact@maekotech.com from your registered email address, or include your registered phone number, with the subject “Delete my localsell account”.

What we delete

We delete or anonymise your account profile (name, email, phone number), saved addresses, favourites, device and notification tokens, and messaging preferences. You will no longer be able to sign in, and we stop sending you promotional messages.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records must be kept even after an account is deleted: tax invoices, credit notes, payment and refund records, and records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes or other legal requirements. Indian GST law, for example, requires business records to be kept for at least 72 months. These records are kept only for the required period, are not used for marketing, and are then deleted or anonymised.

An order that is already in progress is completed or cancelled under our Terms before the account is closed.

How long it takes

A deletion from the app or website takes effect when you confirm it. For an email request, we may first verify that the account is yours; we aim to complete the deletion within 30 days of verification and will reply to confirm.

Store and rider accounts

Stores and delivery partners can ask to close their localsell partner account by emailing contact@maekotech.com from the registered email address. Settlement, payout and tax records are kept for the period the law requires.
